Bandwidth for Fractional DS3:
Fractional DS3 can initially begin at 5Mbps
Fractional DS3 may be configured at 9Mbps - 10Mbps -
14Mbps - 15Mbps - 18Mbps - 20Mbps - 23Mbps - 25Mbps - 27Mbps - 30Mbps - 35Mbps - 40Mbps
The bandwidth configuration for a Fractional DS3 at 10Mbps will allow for 10M upload and 10M download. Another example of a bandwidth arrangement for a Fractional DS3 configured at 40Mbps will permit the connection to transmit at 40M upload and 40M download.
This goes for all Fractional DS3s that provide each business with a connection; Fractional DS3 is a symmetric technology. Symmetric (the same
capacity in both direction sending or receiving) technologies allow transmissions
for a telephone and data services on a leased circuit.
